Ronald Joseph Suster was a prominent American jurist and politician who served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1981 until 1995 and as a Common Pleas judge in Cuyahoga County from 1995 until 2012. Born on October 31, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was deeply rooted in his community, having attended Oliver Hazard Perry Elementary School, St. Joseph High School, and Western Reserve University for his undergraduate studies.

He went on to obtain his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1967 while working nights and weekends delivering mail for the U.S. Postal Service.

His career in public service began as an Assistant Law Director for the City of Cleveland, followed by a role as an Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor. In 1980, he was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives, where he served with distinction for nearly 15 years.
