Rosie Alice Huntington-Whiteley was born on April 18, 1987, in Plymouth, Devon, England. She grew up on a farm near Tavistock, Devon, with her parents, Charles Andrew Huntington-Whiteley, a chartered surveyor, and Fiona Yvonne, a fitness instructor. Rosie has two younger siblings, a brother and a sister.

Her paternal great-grandfather was Wing-Commander Eric Huntington-Whiteley, and her great-grandmother, Enid Etta Cohn, was from a family of Polish Jews who emigrated to England in the 1870s.

Rosie attended Tavistock College, where she revealed that she was bullied and teased at school for having a double-barrelled name, small breasts, and full lips.

At the age of 15, she undertook work experience at a London-based model agency, Profile, before taking her GCSEs. After leaving school in the summer of 2003, she signed with the agency and had her first modeling session for a Levi's jeans commercial.

Rosie got her first big break in January 2004 when she traveled to New York City for a shoot with Teen Vogue. She made her catwalk debut alongside Naomi Campbell in New York City in Spring 2004 and was then photographed by Bruce Weber for Abercrombie & Fitch.

In early 2006, she was signed to American lingerie brand Victoria's Secret, making her debut at the brand's fashion show in Los Angeles. Rosie remained relatively unknown outside the fashion industry until 2008 when she was cast by chief creative director Christopher Bailey for Burberry's Autumn/Winter campaign.

Rosie made her film debut as Carly Spencer in the 2011 film Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the third installment in the Transformers film series. She followed up with another significant role in the 2015 blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road as The Splendid Angharad.

Throughout her career, she has appeared on the cover of international fashion magazines, including Vogue, GQ, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar. She has modeled for various brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Burberry, Karen Millen, Bloomingdale's, Ralph Lauren, and DKNY.

Rosie has received several awards and honors, including being named Model of the Year by Elle in 2009, receiving Elle's Top Style Icon Award in 2012, and being voted #1 on Maxim's Hot 100 list in 2011.

She has been in a relationship with actor Jason Statham since 2010, and the couple became engaged in January 2016. They have two children together, a son named Jack Oscar Statham, born on June 24, 2017, and a daughter named Isabella James Statham.
