Ryan Seacrest, born Ryan John Seacrest on December 24, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American television presenter, producer, and radio personality. He is the son of Constance Marie, a homemaker, and Gary Lee Seacrest, a real estate lawyer.

Ryan showed an early interest in broadcasting, often pretending to host shows with a toy microphone. He attended Dunwoody High School and later studied journalism at the University of Georgia, although he left before graduating to pursue his career in Los Angeles.

His career began with hosting kids' game shows like Gladiators 2000 and Wild Animal Games. He gained widespread recognition as the host of American Idol, starting in 2002.

His easygoing manner and positive outlook made him a household name. He also hosted the radio shows On Air with Ryan Seacrest and American Top 40.

In addition to his hosting duties, Ryan co-hosted and executive produced Live with Kelly and Ryan and became the sole host of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve after Clark's death in 2012. He will soon take over as the host of Wheel of Fortune in September 2024.
