Sharon Tate was an American actress and model, born on January 24, 1943, in Dallas, Texas. She began her career in the early 1960s, appearing in advertisements and small television roles before transitioning to film.

Sharon Tate gained recognition for her role as Jennifer North in the 1967 film "Valley of the Dolls," which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. She also starred in "The Fearless Vampire Killers" (1967), directed by her future husband, Roman Polanski, and "The Wrecking Crew" (1968) alongside Dean Martin.

Her promising career was tragically cut short when she was murdered on August 9, 1969, by followers of Charles Manson. At the time of her death, she was eight-and-a-half months pregnant with her first child.
