Stella Stevens, born Estelle Caro Eggleston on October 1, 1938, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, was an American actress, model, and producer. She was the only child of Thomas Ellett Eggleston, an insurance salesman, and Dovey Estelle (née Caro) Eggleston, a nurse.
Stella Stevens began her career as a model and was discovered by 20th Century Fox while performing in a school play. She made her screen debut in the 1959 musical comedy "Say One for Me," which earned her a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year.
Her beauty and talent quickly made her a sought-after actress in Hollywood. She starred in several films, including "Girls! Girls! Girls!" (1962) with Elvis Presley, "The Nutty Professor" (1963) with Jerry Lewis, and "The Poseidon Adventure" (1972).
She also appeared in numerous television shows such as "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "Bonanza," and "The Love Boat." She was featured in three Playboy pictorials and was named Playmate of the Month for January 1960.
