Stepfanie Kramer, born Stephanie Lyla Kramer on August 6, 1956, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actress, writer, and singer-songwriter. She is best known for her role as the tough-minded detective, "Sgt. Dee Dee McCall," on the NBC TV series Hunter.

Her strong performance not only earned her a global fan base but also turned her into an inspiration for many women.

Her professional acting career began in the late 1970s while she was still in school. She guest-starred in several television shows, such as Starsky & Hutch, Dynasty, Bosom Buddies, and Knots Landing. She graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts/West, where she later taught as a guest instructor.

In 1983, Kramer starred in the NBC sitcom We Got It Made, and her big break came in 1984 when she landed the starring role in Hunter. The show became an international hit, being broadcast for seven seasons, with Kramer starring in six of them.

Stepfanie Kramer pursued her interest in music and became part of several prestigious music projects. She released her first album, One Dream, in 1999, which contains ten adult contemporary songs, most of which were written by her.

She also wrote for both the big and small screens, working with notable producers David Chisolm and Chip Hayes. She continued to perform as a singer at various national and international venues.

Her personal life includes her marriage to Mark Richards in 1992, and the couple had a daughter, Lily Richards, in 1994. However, they separated in 2001, and she has since focused on her daughter.

Stepfanie Kramer has been honored with several awards, including the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress Award from the First Americans in the Arts organization in 1995, 2002, and 2003. She was also voted one of the most beautiful women in television in 1988 through a national TV Guide poll of viewers.
