Susan Olsen, born Susan Marie Olsen on August 14, 1961, in Santa Monica, California, is an American actress and former radio host. She is best known for her role as Cindy Brady, the youngest Brady child in the iconic sitcom "The Brady Bunch," which aired from 1969 to 1974.

Her early life was marked by her family's support for her acting career. She is the youngest of four children, with siblings Larry, Christopher, and Diane. Her brother Christopher was also a child actor, known for his role in the 1956 film "The Man Who Knew Too Much."

Her acting career began at a young age, with supporting roles in television shows such as "Ironside," "Gunsmoke," and "Julia." She also appeared in the Elvis Presley movie "The Trouble With Girls" in 1968. However, it was her role as Cindy Brady that brought her widespread recognition and made her a household name.

Despite the success of "The Brady Bunch," she faced challenges as a child star, including being teased by her peers for her character's tattletale persona. She continued to voice Cindy in the ABC Saturday morning cartoon "The Brady Kids" from 1972 to 1974 and appeared in all Brady Bunch reunion movies and specials, except for "A Very Brady Christmas" in 1988.

In addition to her acting career, Susan Olsen has worked as a radio host and animal welfare advocate. She has been involved in various projects, including hosting a radio show on KLSX in Los Angeles and working as an artist and graphic designer.

Her personal life has seen its share of ups and downs. She married Steve Ventimiglia in 1988, but they divorced in 1990. In 1995, she married Mitch Markwell, and the couple had a son named Michael, born in 1997. Unfortunately, they divorced in 2004. Her son was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, and she has been open about the challenges and joys of raising a child with special needs.

Throughout her career, she has received recognition for her contributions to the entertainment industry. She was ranked No. 34 in VH1's "The 100 Greatest Kid Stars" and received the TV Pop Culture Award with her fellow cast members at the TV Land Awards in 2007.
