Tammy Blanchard, born on December 14, 1976, in Bayonne, New Jersey, is an American actress renowned for her portrayals of iconic women and her versatility across stage, film, and television.

She grew up performing in school assemblies and beauty pageants, attending Bayonne High School before entering the professional acting world with her debut on the soap opera Guiding Light in 1997, where she played the spoiled rich girl Drew Jacobs for three years.

Her breakthrough came in 2001 with the role of young Judy Garland in the ABC miniseries Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows, earning her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie, along with Golden Globe and SAG nominations.​

Tammy Blanchard made her Broadway debut in 2003 as Louise "Gypsy Rose Lee" in the revival of Gypsy opposite Bernadette Peters, receiving a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and a Theatre World Award.

She continued with film roles such as the deaf lover of Matt Damon's character in Robert De Niro's The Good Shepherd (2006), a waitress in the Toronto Film Festival winner Bella (2006), and appearances alongside Brittany Murphy in The Ramen Girl (2008) and Deadline (2009).

In 2011, she earned her second Tony nomination as Hedy LaRue in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, starring with Daniel Radcliffe.​

Her later theater work includes Cora in the 2018 Broadway production of The Iceman Cometh and Audrey in the 2019 Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors, the latter earning her a Drama Desk nomination and a Grammy nod for the cast album.

She appeared in films like Into the Woods (2014) as the Baker's Wife, The Invitation (2015), Blue Jasmine (2013) with Cate Blanchett, and recent projects including A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019), the thriller Bibi (2023), and the miniseries Aaron Hernandez: American Sports Story (2024).

Television credits feature Sybil (2007) opposite Jessica Lange, Rabbit Hole (2010) with Nicole Kidman, and guest spots on shows like The Big C. She is a mother to a daughter named Ava.​
