Tasha Smith is an American actress, director, and producer born on February 28, 1971, in Camden, New Jersey. She began her career with a starring role on the NBC comedy series "Boston Common" (1996-1997) and has since appeared in numerous movies and television series.

Some of her notable film roles include "Daddy's Little Girls" (2007), "The Longshots" (2008), "Couples Retreat" (2009), and "Dolemite Is My Name" (2019).

Tasha Smith is perhaps best known for her role as Angela Williams in Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married?" (2007) and its sequel "Why Did I Get Married Too?" (2010), as well as the TV series "For Better or Worse" (2011-2017).

She has also directed episodes of several TV shows, including "Empire," "Black Lightning," and "Star".

In addition to her work in front of and behind the camera, Tasha Smith is passionate about mentoring emerging actors through the Tasha Smith Actors Workshop (TSAW) and sharing her inspirational life story through motivational speaking.
