Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Tie the Knot on July 3, 2026

New York, July 3, 2026 - Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married. The pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end tied the knot in a highly secured, star‑filled celebration at New York City’s Madison Square Garden (MSG) on Friday night, their representative confirmed.

The wedding unfolded as a marathon event, with festivities beginning in the late afternoon and continuing well past midnight.  Permits and law‑enforcement sources indicate that around 1,000 guests gathered at MSG for the main celebration, which included a cocktail hour, ceremony and reception expected to run until the early hours of Saturday.

Dozens of large black SUVs were seen arriving at the venue from around 3 p.m. ET, feeding into white tents set up outside the arena.  Streets around MSG were closed for the event, with police barricades controlling pedestrian access as crowds of fans lined up hoping to catch a glimpse of arriving celebrities.

In a surprise twist, actor and comedian Adam Sandler served as the wedding officiant.  A spokesperson for Taylor Swift confirmed that Adam Sandler, a family friend, led the ceremony, which emphasized closeness over traditional wedding party structures.

The couple opted against having bridesmaids and groomsmen. Instead, Her brother Austin Swift stood by her side as “man of honor,” while Travis’s brother, former NFL offensive lineman Jason Kelce, served as best man.

Taylor Swift wore a custom Christian Dior Haute Couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Dior’s women’s, men’s and haute couture collections.  The house confirmed that the looks were created in Dior’s ateliers at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, in close collaboration with the couple.

Travis Kelce also dressed in a matching Dior Haute Couture look for the ceremony, making it a coordinated “his and hers” fashion moment.  To complete their outfits, both wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes, and Taylor Swift accessorized with Cartier jewelry.

Reports suggest her gown drew inspiration from the romantic silhouette Elizabeth Taylor wore at her 1950 wedding to Conrad Hilton, though the final design was a bespoke Anderson creation.

The wedding drew an unusually broad cross‑section of celebrities from music, film, sports and media. Among the confirmed and spotted guests were:

  • Music: Selena Gomez, Jack Antonoff, the Haim sisters (Este, Alana, Danielle), Ellie Goulding, Benson Boone, Maren Morris, Camila Cabello, Machine Gun Kelly, Brad Paisley, Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, Emily Strayer, The Chainsmokers, Karlie Kloss (model and former dancer) and more.
  • Film & TV: Bradley Cooper, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, Ethan Hawke, Dakota Johnson, Zoë Kravitz, Mariska Hargitay, Jimmy Fallon, Bowen Yang, Marcello Hernandez, Jenny Han and Lena Dunham.
  • Sports: NFL stars George Kittle, Cooper Kupp, Patrick Mahomes (with Brittany Mahomes), Tony Romo, Travis Kelce’s teammates and coaches including Mike Vrabel and Steve Spagnuolo, plus soccer star Abby Wambach and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky’s daughter Paulina Gretzky.
  • Media & business: Sports broadcaster Joe Buck, journalist George Stephanopoulos, and real‑estate figure Barbara Corcoran.

A rehearsal dinner was held at MSG on Thursday night for about 100 family and close friends, including early arrivals of key guests and production teams.

Given Taylor's global profile and the high‑profile guest list, security was extensive. Law‑enforcement sources said 135 NYPD officers were assigned around MSG for the event, working alongside private security teams.  Police anticipated roughly 500 vehicles linked to the wedding, with many guests arriving via blacked‑out buses and SUVs through a VIP entrance on 31st Street under large tents to shield identities.

City permits obtained by news organizations showed planned street closures and a detailed schedule: gates opening in the late afternoon, a cocktail hour on the sixth floor, then the main reception and ceremony starting around 5:30 p.m. and continuing until about 2 a.m.

The wedding caps a major year for Taylor Swift, who has been balancing her record‑breaking Eras Tour with new creative milestones. In June 2026, she became the youngest woman ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, delivering a lengthy, emotional speech about her 20‑plus‑year career.

At that induction, she was accompanied by her parents Scott and Andrea Swift, her brother Austin, and Travis Kelce’s parents Donna and Ed Kelce, underscoring how intertwined their families had already become ahead of the wedding.

MSG is more than a sports arena; it’s a cultural landmark in the heart of Manhattan. For a couple with ties to both the music and sports worlds - Taylor Swift as one of the best‑selling artists of all time, and Kelce as a key figure in the NFL, it offered a symbolic and practical venue: iconic, centrally located, and capable of supporting complex logistics and security.

Reports indicate the couple wanted a private ceremony separate from the larger reception, using MSG’s windowless main event space and underground access to control sightlines and movement.

Just TandT Married

With the wedding complete, attention will likely turn back to her music and touring plans. While no immediate post‑wedding announcements have been made, the ceremony itself featured musical entertainment and a massive set built inside the arena, fueling speculation about possible performances or future projects tied to the event.

Fans will also be watching for any new releases, re‑recordings or tour extensions that could follow this personal milestone, especially as Taylor Swift continues to redefine how pop stars engage with their audiences and control their narratives.
